Week 2: Hold on, We Might Have a Team!
We lost 2-1 today. We played Pacific Grove United. They scored close to the middle of the first half. We did an excellent job on defense and just about shut them out the rest of the game. Unfortunately an offsides call did not go our way and they scored with about 10 minutes left to pull off the victory. We had 4 consecutive corner kicks in the first half and did not manage to score. The goalie for PG United flubbed the ball and we had a shot but did not manage to score. There were several opportunities but we only capitalized on one of them. Sad times.

Highlights for me were the first ball to the face (feels like old times) a slide tackle, a couple of headers and fight for the ball which I lost and no heart attack. I'm working out, so hopefully that will start to pay off in a week or two.

Dan didn't turn in my form so I got to fill one out before the game...a lot of fun. Dan also mentioned a practice this Thursday because I look "uncomfortable" with the ball. Hey, I haven't touched a soccer ball in almost a year, you bet your bippy I look uncomfortable! Well, not much else to report so I'll sign off.
